After breakfast, your personal driver‑guide will take you to the Dambulla Cave Temple. En route, you may stop at the local market in the city centre to sample fresh fruits, traditional drinks, and experience daily Sri Lankan life.

Explore the Golden Cave Temple complex and its museum before continuing to your hotel. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing and enjoying the hotel’s impressive swimming pool.

Dambulla → Sigiriya → Polonnaruwa

This morning, visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climb this 200m-high UNESCO World Heritage Site, dating back to the 12th century, and enjoy breathtaking views from the summit. Take your time to admire the world‑famous frescoes along the spiral staircase.

In the afternoon, travel to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka. Explore its remarkable ruins, ancient temples, and statues, including the Royal Palace from the 11th–12th century. Return to Dambulla and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Kandy – Local Sightseeing

Kandy → Ella

Today, travel deeper into Sri Lanka’s hill country. Nuwara Eliya—often called “Little England”—features charming British colonial architecture and cool mountain landscapes. Enjoy the scenic drive through endless tea plantations, waterfalls, and winding roads.

In the afternoon, transfer to Nanu Oya Railway Station for one of the world’s most scenic train journeys. Travel through lush tea estates, misty mountains, and cascading waterfalls as you make your way to Ella.

In the evening, explore Ella town by tuk‑tuk or on foot. The area is known for its cosy cafés and excellent local cuisine.

Ella → Yala National Park

This morning, head south toward Yala. Stop at the Ella Gap viewpoint for spectacular mountain scenery, then continue to Rawana Ella Waterfall. While enjoying the view, try some local sliced fruit from nearby vendors—mango with salt and chilli or pineapple with a hint of salt.

Yala National Park → Galle

Early this morning, enjoy a safari at Yala National Park—the most visited park in Sri Lanka and home to the world’s highest density of leopards. You may also encounter Asian elephants, wild boar, spotted deer, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. The safari lasts approximately three hours.

After your wildlife experience, drive to Galle, enjoying the coastal scenery through Hambantota and Tangalle.
